Difficulty Starting Evo 8

My Evo is no spring chicken. It has about 86,000 miles on it, but it's run like a champion. For the past few months, I've had trouble starting it up. I need to have the clutch pedal depressed in a precise spot in order to get the car to turn over. If I move my foot even slightly, it will immediately fail starting up. It always starts eventually, but it's beginning to get a bit old. It's time to fix this. What should I be expecting to replace? If I need to provide more info, please tell me. I'd like to have a general idea of what might need repairing before I dive in head first. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Clutch position switch.

Your car is just getting broken in. That mileage is nothing, LOL.

Disable the switch like mentioned.

Your clutch may be on it's way out.

I do agree. the clutch switch is worn or the rubber pad came off.
