Thumbs up My Evo VIII featured in Auto Eclectic Magazine

Hey all, my 03 WW is featured in Auto Eclectic Magazine, check it out:

www.autoeclectic.com/july

Put it in full screen mode so you do not have to zoom in to read it.

Also some cool articles on a Mosler, a 700 hp Chevelle, a new track in socal, and a GC8 Subaru with a JDM swap. Pretty cool mag.

I feel like you made modded evo's sound like nightmares to drive daily

mine is a full bolt on car but I drive it every day with no problems

congrats on the magazine but I just don't think it's much of a magazine worthy story

I drive my car everyday also, my car just has some issues(personality if you will). I am very proud of my car and loved driving it everyday modded and one day it will be back to that state. The point was I love my Evo any way I can get it. It also speaks to the fact that an Evo can transform from track day special to family duties, unlike most sports cars. I plan to keep the Evo forever in my garage.

Pick the correct mods off the get go, and you will find that your caris not a nightmare to daily drive

Yeah I didn't much care for the story either. Seemed like a short article bashing its ability to be used outside of the track, one of the main things that make it such a great car.

Dude if you can't drive a manual car in stop-and-go traffic, it's going to do that. You make it sound like only a select few people are gifted with the talent of being able to drive an Evo. I mean congrats on making the mag but you make it seem almost impossible for an Evo to be a daily driver.

I don't have a problem with the story. Badly modded Evos aren't very enjoyable to drive. Is that news? Evos that look best parked aren't great on the road. We don't know this? The OP realized that his car wasn't optimized for his needs. Perhaps after reading the piece, other owners will take similar steps and we'll see less posts about screwed-up cars. Win-win.

Thanks FJF, my Evo has changed quite a bit to suit my life style but it is still an Evo and I love it. I was proud to get into a mag and also I thought the rest of the mag is cool.

They told me they would feature an Evo every month if they can find enough stories. I just sent them an email through their contact on the website (www.autoeclectic.com under contact). So if you have a better car or story you want in a mag send them a message.

Articles in magazines are opinions, SurfEvo, I'm glad you made your car enjoyable for you.

Love WW!
