Only time I can hear mine is when the bottom of the back seat is off. I take it off when I haul extra tires to the track.

Savor it while it lasts. Some get louder over time. I have read on here that they tend to get louder when they are "going out"...but don't take me on that. Mine has been loud from day 1.

I can hear mine just barely in the car, mostly only when the A/C is turning on or off it whines a little bit louder, but that's about it.

This pump does have a small whine to it. But nothing drastic. I have one and I hardly hear it especially with the radio on.

I can't hear mine at all, just installed it not too long ago. Used to have one in my eclipse and could hear it all the time.

Come to think of it I do notice it when the A/C turned on and off.

Mine's got a small whine to it, I can hear it when idling but not when cruising, so it's no biggie for me.

mine is super loud, you can hear it hum from the inside/outside of the car lol. You'll just get used to it, don't fix it if its not broken "yet"

I hear mine as a high frequency whine. Sometimes it's very noticeable, but apparently not to everyone, because some of my friends apparently can;t hear it. I sure do though. I guess it depends on your hearing and how loud your particular pump is.
