Driveability Problem

So I searched and couldnt find much on my problem.

I have an IX with an FP Green, Exhaust, Intake that are pretty much the mods.

Its stock, and untuned as I dont get on it really.

The only mod I have is the Tephra mod so it could pass emissions. The rear 02 sensor has been removed

Well I changed the plugs, tune up but the car has no power. It is not fun driving the car anymore.

Going over those gentle hills on the interstate, the car feels like its about to fall flat on its face. 1-3 gear are the only gears with any sort of acceleration.

But even a 3 cylinder metro could take me, thats how bad it is. It doesnt smoke, doesnt overheat, No cels. If you try to give it some gas while cruising, the RPM stays constant for a second or two then it slowly accelerates

Anyone know what could cause this.

I have evoscan so I could log if the logs could identify any problems.

It's a boost leak or a slipping clutch since you say it doesn't have power in higher gears. Put the car in 5th gear and floor it. If the RPMS go up and the car stays still, it's the clutch.

This is your problem. I imagine you have no diagnostic information available? Logging software or even a wideband? What other mods do you have? Stock injectors?

Call me crazy but if the car has no tune it would probably run a million times better if it did

I just pretty much just took the wideband out. But the problem is just recent.

Im at 60K on the stock clutch, but i rarely ever drive it hard. Never launched it more than once or twice

And it drove better when the turbo was just installed, its just of late that the power loss is very noticeable

Bottom line, it could be a number of things. You will need to perform some tests and provide us more information to help diagnose your issue.

Here's a few things to start with....

My first diagnostic step is ALWAYS to check three things: 1) spark 2) fuel 3) compression

1) Check/replace spark plugs
2) Check your fuel pressure, or wiring/fuse for fuel pump
3) Do a compression test
4) Do a boost leak test
5) Do a visual inspection under the hood to see if anything looks out of the ordinary. Sometimes simple things like a loose clamp near the MAF makes a BIG difference.

Report back and we can go from there.
