An exhaust leak would just skew the reading, if anything. If it never changes from 14.8, it sounds like the sensor may have gone, or there could be a wiring issue I guess. I've seen damaged AEM setups ground themselves and read the same value constantly.

I'm pretty sure 14.4-14.8 at idle is pretty normal...at least that's what my car does (as well as other's I've seen).

check the sensor.

take the sensor out and put some gas on a rag and put the sensor in it. turn key so the ignition and gauge is on, but car is not started. if it goes to full rich and stays there, the sensor is good. if it goes full rich then back to full lean or the 3 dashes, the sensor is bad

its because the sensor is bad..... it doesnt gradually get bad, it just goes
