I'm on the fence about buying modded or looking for a clean stockish IX.

 

try to get stock but i highly doubt it will be an easy one... its better to know what your doing to your car than guess what someone did to it.

 

Yeah, just take your time on looking for the "right" evo. It takes a bit of time, but you'll find it sooner or later. Dealers will/can screw you over IF they can find a weak point in you. I wouldn't deal/go to dealers near you, try to find one privately if you can.

just make sure it doesnt have the death whine and clutch is good, and drink the beer yourself!

 

check with your local evo club. they probably know someone selling their evo. you could also check with CBRD maybe they can help you find a good one.

 

like all these guys said make sure it doesnt "whine" thru all gears aka Tcase ******** the bed. also carfax it if you can it could or could not have been wrecked do research dont just buy ur first evo u think is the best im glad i waiting mine now has 490 ponies and i still have problems, as far as that price they r insane 24 still is high 22-23 out the door price would be pretty good and then u can gimme ur taillights
