dual exhaust on VIII
yeah that deffently does look like $hit, but im not gonna do it like that im gonna have something made up that looks like it should be on there, an i mean honeslty its a effing honda with fart cans on it an a body kit that is just a joke an evo has alot better styling then a honda any day of the week an i wouldnt do it all "ricer" like that

We're only being realistic. If a four-cylinder comes with dual exhaust from the factory, then great... but it really doesn't need it and isn't really benefiting from it either. Like someone else said earlier, while cars like the Evo X, STI and S2000 all have dual exhaust, most serious owners go with the single tailpipe for the biggest gains. But if it comes with single exhaust and you convert it to dual, then that is getting dangerously close to being straight up rice. That was cool ten years ago though.

No one is trying to be mean or unhelpful, but it seems like most people here feel that strongly about converting a CT9A Evo to dual exhaust being silly.
To you, what would define "rice"?

^ Thank you! If you are thinking in terms of sounds then i say go for it. I think you may just end up getting rid of it and probably putting a single exit back on.
and yes dual exhaust is pointless on them also, which is why people switch to single...
unless you have a V motor, you should not have dual exhaust, end of story
The Evo X came with dual exhaust from the factory. Its piping and shape are configured for it and the amount of back pressure that comes with it. The undercarriage and rear bumper/diffuser facilitate it. But obviously Mitsubishi did it for looks, more so than functionality.
Unless you're an engineer or very experienced with mufflers and exhaust systems, any hack job you do probably isn't going to do anything good. You have to consider the fact that the plumbing involved in a dual exhaust isn't going to be easy to fit beneath the Evo.
Time out to everyone... everyone is just straight up hating except for a few people...
Bottom line, performance wise there is no added benefit. So it comes down to aesthetics. The question what rear bumper are you running and will a dual exhaust look good. If you have a stock USDM or JDM rear bumper my opinion is no dont do it, personally i think it will look bad. BUT its your car and your opinion and thats all that counts. If you like it do it and fck what everyone else has to say. If you have an aftermarket bumper that is symmetrical and a dual exhaust would compliment then knock yourself out... some people like symmetry and it can look good. I like how the Karbon car is, the bumper supports dual exhaust and its symmetric. It was done right and looks like it should be there. Granted if some people think it is a sin to put dual exhaust on a 4 cyl but fck them they dont know what they are talking about. The newest generation OF OUR OWN CARS has a dual exhaust and is a 4 cyl so take their opinions with a grain of salt.
End of story. Do what you like to your car. Your the one that drives it not everyone else. And when someone decides to say you did your car wrong tell them to go fck off because their input is just arbitrary anyway.
Good luck with the dual!
