speed density
It says its plug and play...

Don't know first hand though.

IAT = intake air temp
AIT = air intake temp
They are all the same sensor just different ways of saying it. Basically for speed/density the ecu needs to know the manifold pressure (MAP sensor) and air temp to calculate fuel.
Which harness would I need for speed density, this one,

or this bcs,

Or would I need both as I will be using a GM IAT?

The 2nd link is for a plug and play harness on a GM 3-port BCS (needed for ECU based boost control.)
I have the latter, and the quality is excellent!
You DO NOT need an IAT if you plan on setting up SD yourself. Its a good thing to have if you want your tune to change with the air temp but if you like me ( I do all my own tuning) then you can look over tune and just keep check on it through the months when the weather change. Im not 100% sure you need it still if you live in an area where the weather might stay pretty consitant. dont quote me 100% on none of this but I know I dont run an IAT and my car runs AMAZING on SD.
but your right, if your in an area where the weather is consistant, its not needed
The IAT measures air temperature pre-compression, which is a lot different. For a proper SD setup with temp-correction, does one need to run the MAT and IAT or one of the other? Which one is better to use?

This is true, but at the same time, the MAT takes the air temperature from the temperature in the manifold which has been compressed and post-IC.

There's another thing I didn't think about that became apparent after talking with one of the ECU gods here on the forums. The difference in temperature between the two will be around 7* with an efficient intercooler core. So you can run one or the other and it doesn't really make a difference.
