To paint or not to paint...?
Hey Guys - I want your opinion on this situation in the instance if you were me, what would you do?
Ok here's the shortened version of the story - My car has been entirely repainted pearl white (3-stage paint) due to a crappy red design on my car (see pics on my profile). The only thing I paid for was paint. Labor was 100% free thanks to a good friend of mine. Over a very short period of time (under a year, I have had the entire car repainted except for the mirrors and wing). I didn't notice this until I was washing my car but some of the paint from the red design (see pics on my profile) is on the bottom of the wing where the aerodynamics were crafted. You know, the groove on each side, under the side of the wing.
This past December, Maryland was hit with crazy amounts of snow/ice and I had a minor fender bender and messed up my front bumper...causing $585 in paint damage which obviously I wasn't going to fix right away since I was short on cash at the time.
Well, this past Monday (2 Aug), I was driving home and I hear an incredibly loud POP and then a dragging noise so I pulled off onto the shoulder. Turns out, a single chaing-link from what appeared to be a bungee cord was either laying in the road or fell off someones car/truck on the highway and I just so happened to run it over. There was no black cord visible in the road and I was doing the speed limit. Well, as my tires were spinning at 60mph this chain-link stuck out so far after getting stuck in my tire that it snagged onto the front lip and pulled half of it out of the brackets holding it causing it to drag on the ground. I put a plug on my tire after ripping out the damn bungee cord chain link and drove it to my buddy's shop who painted my car the first time since I saw some paint damage, nothing serious I thought. After the insurance did their inspection of my incident after I submitted a claim, turns out this cost about $1,800 in paint damage alone. I had damage on my front bumper and lip, passenger door, side-skirt, and the quarterpanel piece that sits over the tire. All of these areas had pressure cracks at a minimum. I believe what happened was, as I was driving 60mph on the highway and ran this thing over by complete accident (I literally saw no black cord in the road at all) as my tire was spinning, this bungee link was spinning around and tore up the paint around the tire, hitting all of those areas. Yeah, talk about some serious bad luck, wow...
Now that it is all said and done and I ended up getting my front bumper fixed (I'm really glad I didn't fix it in December like I was planning to so I technically saved $585) I am wondering if I should spend the money after I pay my $500 deductible and get my mirrors and wing painted since the rest of the car has been painted. It would be an extra $200 to get that done.
What do you guys think? I mean, financially I could get it done and right now seems fitting because college doesn't start up until the end of this month so...Just want your opinions. It's a toss up because of the $500 deductible I gotta pay.
Thanks and I apologize in advance for writing a book. Please let me know if anything doesn't make sense and I will clarify.

Take that money and put it somewhere else. Take your mom or that special lady in your life out for a great night out and show them your appreciation gets my vote!
Truly I think if the mis-matched parts are bothering you just go ahead and spend the extra $200. It's not a big issue because obviously you were not worried before. Now that your car is being painted it makes sense, just get the paint issues out the way, and get back to enjoying you car.
