problem misfiring

problem misfiring

hello people, so my car usally red lines at aroud 7,500 rpm but i notice ever since i took it to the track and i was a little low on gas now every time i get close to 7,000 it starts misfiring but i notice that i added a fuel cleaner and it let it rev all the way to 7,500 nice and smoothly but then the affect ran away and it starts misiring again ...i always use 91 octane
please help...

from 800 to 6,900 it feels smooth no problem till high rpm

I had the same issue, turned out to be a loose ground. Wouldn't hurt to add a few ground wires too.

right after i went to the track, i notice it stared doing that so change the plugs right away gap at .22

The stock plugs are gapped a bit higher than .028. Try gappin em a bit to be closer to .028.

no way really i though the oem park was suppost to be at .022
but im goin to try this but isnt .028 too big of a gap?

Your correct, Evo 8's are around .028 evo 9'a should run fine at .022. Thought you where an 8 for some reason.

help? i gapped at .026 and it seems the missfire is smaller but more constant..

Could be your coils or even your plug wires.....You might want to try gapping the plugs a little smaller like .022 - .025...I know you said you are at .026 so that would be the easiest check item then move on to the wires and then coils...That's what I'd do before having to dig deeper...
