I am impressed...

Today I left my headlights on in my evo8 for 2.4 hours while I took a nap inside. When I woke up i saw the lights still running and was very puzzled, went out there and she fired right up. Anyone else had this happen?

Every other car I owned would have been completely dead after at least 30-60 mins

Ive left the headlights and radio on my lancer for 3 hours during school, in addition to the 1 hour it took for me to get the spare... and it started right up.

Was the key on or off completely? I took my keys out and left the light on but it automatically
shut the lights off after like 10 min.

I leave my switch in the on position all the time, mine shut off when the key is turned off. My car has HID's though so it may be different.

Hmm very weird... I am pretty sure I have the HIDS as well, evo 8 SSL ... I woke up left my bedroom and went through my office, out the window I saw my lights on under the carport, which I thought was very weird... I dont know why they would have turned back on so I assume they never turned off....

Also the vehicle was not running when I turned them on, I was showing the feature where you can raise/lower the lights to a friend. Wonder if that had something to do with it?

I don't know why it is a surprise but, I have left my stereo bumpin' and lights on for a solid 12 hours in my Toyota and started it up with 12.8v left. A good battery is a must IMO or 2..

Normally if I was driving the vehicle, parked and then got out I would have noticed them being on. The vehicle was parked and I was looking at my car with a friend then showed him the lights, and I must have forgotten to turn em off.

But i agree props to

HIDs draw less current than Halogen bulbs so it makes sense that the battery still had some charge left after 2 hrs..
