My little brother just bought an Evo!
Well this is little brother guys finally got one after riding in my brothers I knew I had to have one. All I can say is if you are planning on buying an EVO be patient there is allot of junk out there that people think are nice but just know what to look for and know how to NIT PICK and talk people down. Well Ive been looking for a while and this is by far the best bang for the buck. Over the years Ive lost count on how many vehicles that Ive had but I have never set down in a stock vehicle and had so much fun driving in the mountains from the handling to the torque and control of how this car is set up I guess you could say this Honda guy just switched over to the other side.
Well going to start ordering in the morning so any helpful points or comments LMK but there's not much that you can get by my brother he deffinitly on point when it come to an EVO. We will keep this thread updated as progress is done. Thanks Bro

He already started... IX BOV on the way, and he already knows what to buy, and what not to buy. He wouldn't buy anything performance related with out talking with me about it first anyway. He is not looking to build a monster, he wants something that is going to be reliable cause this is his daily driver...

Well first round of mods are on the way... he ordered the following yesterday, and setup a vendor account with MAP as well!

Walbro 255 HP fuel pump w/install kit
Muse Long Route IC piping (upper and lower)
Samco Intake Tube
Vibrant Maf adapter with Vibrant Filter
AEM Uego Wideband
AEM Digital Boost gauge (35 psi)
Torque Solutions front motor mount
Autometer Dual steering column gauge pod
IX BOV (received, thanks Javier!)
Things I sent to him today
Vibrant 3" gasket with fire ring for the downpipe

I have a set of ID1000s that will go into the car once he comes down to visit and get tuned by me.

Way to go Freddie....hooking up the Bro !
I've been trying to get my "brother from another mother" to sell his 400 hp VR6 Jetta and get an evo....he just won't do it.
I like that mods list.....you must have informed him on what stuff works and what does not.
What about cams, head studs, o2 Housing, MAP sensor, and 3port solenoid????

Christ Paul, the man has only had the car for a week... O2 housing is on the list, perhaps a map sensor, but only used to log boost as this car won't be speed density. Gonna keep it simple with a MBC. Cams maybe later down the road, like I said before, he isn't looking to build a monster, just something reliable!
Hey man.....if you are going to do it....do it all the way... : )
I have been building and changing stuff on my car since 2003. I don't think another car will ever be in order because whenever I get bored with the current setup, I change it....it is like having a new car all over again.
I do understand about wanting a reliable ride though.
