I was keep wondering about how many horsepower and torque will I get with the stock 8 turbo.. Its 2.4l block fully build bottom to top, w 272's cams, and ported stage 3 head... Will I able to get around 400 to 450hp or not? Anyone of u using stock turbo within over 400hp? Need more info abt it.. Thanks!!

 

You should be able to hit 400 on a cool weather day. I met a guy last saturday who has an VIII. His block is fully built by Buschur. Other mods are upper and lower intercooler pipes, TBE, 1k cc injectors and fuel pump. He made 400awhp in 80 degree weather. Hope this helps out a bit. He was also using a IX turbo!

 

People always told me you would be maxed out on the turbo at 380whp unless you were using something like alky or e85

 

ohh okay, its good.. same as mine in 1kcc injectors.. and will the ix turbo fit on my 8 as bolt on? or need to get other parts to make the ix turbo to fit on 8?

 

You would need to buy the install kit. It is very inexpensive and easy to install. You can google who sells it. It is very easy to find. Good luck with you findings and your build. Keep me informed and if you need any help, you know where to find me.

 

why not buy a bigger turbo?

 

I agree....slap a 30R on that bad boy, retune, and your hittin 400+ easy

 

i don't see why you don't put a bigger turbo if you already have all that awesomeness in the engine put a fp on there and get the potential out of it
