How is buying a new set of rims cheaper than replacing 1 rim?

if you are seriously strapped, I would ask someone else in your area if they have a couple wheels that you can borrow...not sure about there, but up here a bunch of us have multiple sets for winter/summer or all season/track...I've gotten bit before by getting out of the way when someone came into my lane....lady came straight into my side, I instinctively swerved away and slammed into the back of a truck that was parked on the side of the road. Lady kept going and I chased after her on foot. She pulled into a gas station and started crying when the cop got there. She said that I was a crazy person and slammed into the car and then chased after her. Long story short, cop finds her not at fault because I had managed to keep my car away from hers and I get to pay for all the damages to my car (which was totaled).Thankfully that wasn't in my EVO...it's bad to say, but I think it's almost better to have people slam into you so there is no he-said, she-said stuff going on...too many people willing to make you trash your stuff and thumb their nose at you..
