about to buy an evo! help pls

im about to buy an 03 evo 8 with 74k for $15500
the cars completely stock hasnt been modified at all
the guy kept it in really good condition after i test drove it he even told me to let the motor run so the turbo can cool down, he doesnt seem like the racing type* he is also the original owner. Anything i should be looking out for? Is the price too high? what problems do these cars usually have at that milage or soon to have problmes? thanks for the help in advance

I wouldn't hesitate. Most things known to go wrong isn't found on the Evos until 05 .

Take my word for it, please remember that the Evo is built for track and both handling and power has taken them numerous year to develop to make it as driver-friendly on track as possible. If you start to take weight off/lowering the car, you can end up sacrificing body roll and getting worse wet surface traction and handling. Same with power, there is a way to turn it into a hardcore time attack monster. But the stock feel of the Evo on track is just most bang for the buck . But if you want it to be a drag/street monster - sure just cut it up and begin the hunt for the lbs
