Evo VIII backfiring

So I have an 05 Evo and recently it has aqcuired a backfire under load in the middle of a gear. It mostly happens in third but has happened in first and fourth. It does not happen all the time but still does every once in awhile. Has anyone had this problem before or know what it may be?

Your spark plug gap is prolly too big, take them out and gap them to .21-.23
