Yesterday was the 7th Anniversary of buying my Evo VIII brand new. The first place I tried to test drive it told me that it really wasn't the car for me, I should look at a Galant or something. lol

I have only 2 regrets:

1. Being stupid enough to think I'd probably be selling it in a few years and therefore buying the color I thought would sell again easy (Rally Red) Thought I think it looks great... I really did want Black but couldn't find one with a sun roof in my area.

2. NOT BUYING TWO (maybe even picking up a IX) Of course I have an excuse ... I ain't rich and have 2 sons (who love the car as much as I do )

I never looked back, except may be that first night, when I couldn't sleep and got back up and went down to the garage and turned on the light and looked at it sitting there. I thought to myself ... "Did I really just do that??? and there it sat grinning with it's intercooler back at me saying: "Yup buddy, you a freeaakin' owner"

I consider myself lucky to have owned this car, and for the foreseeable future plan on enjoying it more since it's been paid off for a year now...

Congrats on the anniversary. Have had my IX SE for almost four now, will be paid off in about a year. Knew when I bought it it would be kept for a very long time. No regrets but wish I had two. Hell yes on the RR, mine is TB, if I was shopping for a second, RR.

yeah, goin on 5 years for me. i haven't even begun to touch this cars potential. but its so reliable as it is, its hard to give that up.

I hit my 2 year anniversary back on the 30th of June...that was just when I could afford one lol I've wanted one for much longer. And I agree with the OP I think us being owners are really lucky.

I'm coming up on my 6 year anniversary in November. 111k miles and still going strong on the stock motor. This was the first car I ever purchased new and still my all-time favorate car ever owned. Been paid off for several years now too.

I share the same sentiments as the OP. Mine's 4 years old and still loving it.

Ive had mine for about a year but for someone who had 25+ cars in a year i think thats pretty good.

I've owned 2 VIII & IX.

Honestly has to be hands down the best car I've ever had. Even though i do miss my 135i, mostly because of the comfort and sound deadening.

I have had an Evo since June 2003. I bought my IX MR in 2006. No looking back now. All paid off too!

It'll be 5 years for my IX MR on October 22nd. Every time I get in the car I love it more and more.

Congrats, I plan on keeping this car for a while.... I'll only trade it for another evo...

my 4 year anniversary is coming up in Nov. I love this car and would only let it go for another one
