I'm assuming this is for track use? Ha would be legit for the track but everyday driving like down the interstate would look dumb no offense.

My car will be at the 1000hp mark with an open exhaust. It isn't my daily driver, but it will occasionally be taken on trips around town. My major concern will be on the freeway cruising at 3500rpm for an hour and a half straight when I drive from Orange County down to S.D. My car will never see the track except for perhaps the Texas mile.

So, apart from the opinions on its usefulness, are there any recommendations on good quality setups?

If your car is THAT loud, you shouldn't be driving it in the streets. No point in spending money my friend. I mean if you insisst on an intercom system I could consider another option that doesnt require those big a$$ headsets lol.

Does it actually muffle surrounding sounds around you and hear only the other person? I thought it was illegal to drive around in public that interferes with your surroundings. Like listening to an Ipod with a headset in the car. It is a distraction from emergency vehicle noises and other drivers honking in case of an emergency.

Lmfao DO IT! This is just as good as when we have cruised with helmets on to see what people do on the street hahahaha you get some funny looks but then again, the exhaust is already giving signs you arent there to **** around. I have some friends who rally, i can see what they use if youd like? I know the rally cars get loud at times.

Here are some that I have found:

If you don't mind a LITTLE bit of extra weight, just pickup some "Dynamat" and do up the interior, with the windows up it will bring the noise down A LOT!!!! Cover the floor, door panels, under seat's front and back, roof, etc..

If your driving an 1000hp car on the street, you need to be focusing on the road not having a deep conversation.

I've road around in a high 8 sec muscle car, and I didn't need any gay headsets. lol
