HELP!! Aem 30-4408 boost gauge issues.

So I just installed my new Aem wideband and 50psi boost gauge today, I took a trip to wal mart, did a pull, and my boost gauge read 20psi at the peak I saw it at. (Was running 23-25psi on my autometer gauge yesterday) I come out of wal mart, and my gauge only reads pretty much 2,4,6 in random orders on the digital display, but the LED's read where they should... It's too hard to watch the LED's to see what boost level I'm at while doing a pull and need to figure out this issue. On top of it, I just got the gauge (brand new, still sealed) after a 5 week wait.

HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS? Any ideas of a solution?! PLEASE HELP!

Power is to the ignition, tried a few different grounds to see if that was the issue. Same scenario with every ground.

Trying to determine whether or not it's a similar issue my buddy had with his subbie and AEM Tru Boost... is the boost sensor line an actual vacuum line? or is it one of those very thin plastic ones?

It's actual rubber vac line. Thing I don't get is the LED's read correct but the digital does not. Can post video if needed.

I say post it... that's the best way to diagnose it and give people some thoughts on the issue.

Talked to Aem and they said it is impossible to read two different values between digital and led displays, so off of that mindset I started brewing of what could be wrong while watching the gauge and varying throttle and comparing what I was seeing between displays, then it hit me... The 2,4,6,8,0 in the right most position, was indeed correct! It was missing the second (middle) digit, as that portion of the display failed within 5 minutes of use. A starting ceremony compared to my AEM wideband confirmed. Not so happy I spent $200 on a gauge to have it fail immediately. Hoping AEM will take care of it or just give me my $ back!

i am having a problem where the boost gauge reads differently from my laptop. boost gauge reads 16psi and on the laptop it shows 13.7 psi. both are reading directly off the intake manifold with independent aem 5 bar sensor. i am guessing the aem is reading wrong.
