luckily he stopped 100yrds earlier before the accident occurred, or else his car could have been part of it.

--- Update, and great news! ---

STM took my car apart and found out that the rear end was fine, all of the axles looked good, it seemed that the problem was indeed my new transfercase. We immediately shipped it out to Buschur Racing, since they just built it the week before.

Today, Dan Buschur called me up, and was very apologetic. When he built it, he re-did most of the transfercase, but he did not replace the tailshaft bearing or race, because it looked fine. Well, when I drove to the track, that bearing locked up, causing my tires to lock up. We were not able to drive the car up onto the trailer because it was still locked, but after it cooled down, it rolled again, which explains why it went up onto the flat bed so easily.

So, Buschur Racing replaced the bearing, race, and part of the housing all free of charge, as well as shipped it back to me. That is some good customer service there, standing behind their work

A big thanks goes out to STM and Buschur Racing for this excellent care!

And that's why eyeballing accidents is a bad thing.

That's pretty good on Buschur for how they handled fixing it.

I'm amazed that the tires aren't flat-spotted.

I never said they weren't flat spotted. I wouldn't be very surprised if they didn't have a flat spot on them after they locked up.

My apologies, I ***umed they weren't since you didn't mention them.

Advans are expensive and you should be compensated for your damaged tires (or have them shaved round again), especially since it seems you've been a good sport about a situation (transfer case lockup) that has resulted in people's deaths before.
