Painting valve cover

Painting valve cover

I'm sure someone here has done this before, just wondering what kind of sandpaper to use and how long this takes.

I'd recommend powder coating, it's only like $50.

I'd powdercoat also. Painting just doesn't last too long.

If painting do standard; 400 > 600 > 800 > 3-4 coats of paint > 3-4 coats of clear > Allow 24 hours of dry time. Of course tape off bottom of valve cover and spark plug holes to prevent paint/dust contamination.
