How much to fix or change a gear box??

I need to fix or change my evo's gear box....T_T
Does anyone know how much to fix or change the gear box??
p.s. my evo is 2003 GSR.

Are you North or South Jersey??

If north I might be able to help you remove it.

Also, are you sure it's the transmission and not the transfer case??

Noisy or engagement issue, clutch etc.. I would hate to see you put in a trans and find out later its a transfer case or something else.

Ya, make sure its the tranny because if its the transfer case your looking at another hefty bill.
