doing some service on my evo 9 soon

Hey everyone I have a couple of questions

1- What kind of coolant do I use?
2- What kind of gear oil for the rear diff?
3- tranny oil?

I was once asking these questions myself when I started , searching is your best friend .

1. Oem is fine
2. Oem Diaqueen
3. If you have a MR 6spd. many say to stick with OEM, 5spd. either oem or amsoil.( I use amsoil)

Oem fluids are fine, but if you're not a fan of your wallet getting raped, here are some alternatives:

1: Prestone 50/50, 2 gallons (you won't use all of the 2nd gallon though)
2: Amsoil SVG, 2 quarts (1 for the tcase, 1 for the rear diff)
3: Amsoil MTG, 3 quarts

i use amsoil in my 6 speed. works perfect and id recommend amsoil in everything except the transfer case and rear diff. i just stick to the oem fluids for them since they use the same fluid anyway. i wouldnt use any other fluid in the transfer case except oem.

Make sure you get GL4 spec amsoil for the tranny. It doesn't shift right with anything except GL4. The tcase and rear diff get the same severe gear GL5.
