Hi all. Noise from front end continues. Changed the front discs and pads as they were toast as shiney on rusty showed and thought noise is still there.

Sounds like metal is touching something on the drive system, intermitant, which increases when free-wheeling (say slowing for a junction) but doesn't make the sound under acceleration. Doesn't seem to get worse at all when turning. Strangely it also sound a bit rubbery like a dry rubber somewhere but can't understand.

I have looked and can see nothing obvious.

Driveshaft?

Has anyone any ideas/tests/guesses/suggestions.

I would grately appreciate any input.
