adyno and or dinodyno android.

Has anyone used adyno or dinodyno on the android phone? I've been looking up\adjusting many factors in the software so I can configure this thing correctly. I haven't tried it out yet but I plan to today. There are certain factors like frontal area that I don't know so I'm going to have to make an educated guess. Anyways, has anyone used this? How accurate were you with your settings? If you have can you please share your settings? Yes I know everyone has the tactrix but I'm curious about these apps. I have read good things as long as the phone is properly secured.

Ok, I read that this actually works well. I also read that most of the time it doesn't work is due to user error. The HTS Eris is such a low end phone. I wouldn't rule either of these apps out because of that piece of hardware. I know this program can work properly. I've heard of it being dead nuts with a gtech. It has to be completely secured properly. Also the Dyno app I heard for the Iphone is amazing! I read that one of the dyno apps on there is extremely accurate. I would really like to get this to work. Would be pretty cool!

I will, I'm trying to see if the guys from english racing have the dyno sheet from my car so I can compare. I know where I'm sitting but it would also be nice to have. Hopefully I'll be able to test it out today.

Let me know what settings you're using. I'll post mine up after I give it a try.

Just downloaded both apps onto my Droid X. Got some fine tuning to do in the car anyway. I will post the comparisons as well.

Lets hope not. I just got my dyno sheet from Aaron at english racing. So now I have the full comparison. Sorta.. I need to do my 60k. I'll be putting a fuel pump on then and getting a new tune. So we'll see what's up.

is there any reason you're so dead set on making this work? lol Virtual Dyno has been shown to work pretty well. Why not just use that? Just don't want to spend the money on a tactrix cable? lol

and screw the 60k. go out and make a pull so we know how this thing works. you can't hype up a thread and say all you're waiting on is a dyno sheet, then get the dyno sheet and put it on hold again.

I just want to try it. No I don't have the cable. Yes I'm buying the cable. I have to wait till after Jan 1st before I buy anything for myself.

After I hit the gym tomorrow I am gonna give this a go. Calm down Susan it will happen

I have to factor in rolling resistance, drive train loss, frontal area, drag coefficient (cd) I am to believe stock is around .34(cd), frontal area, weight, roll characteristics, and pitch characteristics. I don't think is is going to be a wam bam straight shot. I should be very close on the weight and I have a good idea where (cd) is going to fall into play. I don't know what pitch and roll will be since my car is on track coilovers.

Right now my settings are:
Pitch 2.00* (pitch angle @ 1g acceleration
Roll Characteristics: 2.5*/G - (roll angle @ 1G cornering)
Weight 3109 is the stock curb weight. I have Bride Zeta III racing seats (I'm sure no gas)
Additional Weight* (passengers, fuel, etc) I'm thinking of topping the tank off for this
Drive Train Losses 16%
Rolling Resistance 0.015%
Drag Coefficient (stock is .340) I'm probably at .330
Frontal area (no idea) 2.090 m squared. I'm going to look up some similar vehicles
Minimum speed RPM: 2000rpm
Maximum Speed RPM: 7500rpm
Minimum Speed: (this will be determined when I'm actually doing it)
Maximum Speed: (same)

This is last one recorded of the car:

I just found this searching on forums as well:

Trackmaster - captures track/autoX sessions, can review on phone or download a Goggle Earth file.
Dynomaster
Camber Guage
Corner Weights
The above are by the same developer
RaceDroid

Other apps include:
aDyno
TireSize
Torque-Uses ODB w/ PLX Kiwi Bluetooth interface (or eBay clones) to read/log engine data
SpeedView
GPS Speedo
SpeedHUD
aStopwatch

Not specifically car related... but will feed the inner geek :
Tricorder
MetalDetector
HomePipe - Provides direct access to any files on your home computer via the phones 3G or WiFi connection
