Someone convince me

I am about to buy a set of gauges for my EVO and need some input from you guys. My first choice are the Defi D-Series (if they ever become available), which are a basic mechanical gauge that match the stock gauges nicely.

However, I was thinking about paying a bit more and getting the Link series, which have the ability to store and replay data for up to three minutes.

Given that I autocross and do several track days per year, I thought, it might be useful to be able to review the data after each run or lap. Or does it just sound nice now, but in reality you hardly ever do it?

So, basically I am looking for some ideas on whether I should get the basic gauge or step up to the electronic one.

Thanks

Very simply:

Defi D series - entry level gauges similar to Greddy 52mm gauges. All gauges are electronic exceopt for boost which is mechanical. No peak hold, no playback..basic gauges that match the interior well. Nice looking, work well, and affordable.

LINk series - available in 52 or 60mm, and must be used with teh Defi LINK controller. The controller allows the user to set warning levels, do quick peak hold, and view real time play back of data for all connected gauges. A bit more money, but lots more features. Install is also a bit cleaner, as all the sensors simply wire into the control unit, and you use just 1 wire to connect from the control unit to the boost gauge, then another wire from boost to whatever your next gauge is....like a daisy chain.
