4th Gear

Hey Guys,

I was playing around a bit tonight and i dont usually beat on my car but tonight i thought i would have some fun,

What i noticed is at WOT shifting from 3rd to 4th it would feel like it was crunching into gear a bit,

It doesnt do this if i shift from 3rd 6500rpm or under only about that,

Anyone else have this drama? any resolutions?

cheers

What fluids? What type of clutch?

Does it consistently do that?

4th gear Syncro's are on their way out would be my guess. You could try BG syncro shift for gear oil. It may remedy the grinding.

Hmm i was thinking that but the car has only 53k miles on it and was never pushed tracked or modded until about 10k ago, as soon as the revs are over say 7000rpm it crunches into gear and only into 4th below that there is no issues

If you ease it into 4th above 7000, does it still do it?

did u try shifting as separate motions? 1. Off gas 2. Clutch to floor 3. Change gear 4. Roll out?
Might not be getting the clutch all the way down before getting into 4th. If all thats good how is ur linkage. Might be 4th gear synchro as already stated

Could be the synchros, or maybe the shifter linkage cables are a bit bent?
