Yours afr's are off??Is the bov open at idle?A good tune will solve this issu the maf need's to be scald correctly.

Not true ran it on my stock maf for two years it's all in the tune and you tuners ability!!

I've taken the BOV and greased it, only to have the issue come back a few days later. Any ideas on what the issue could be? Also, I wanted to note that when the engine is cold upon start up, the BOV will surge under ANY level of boost until the car is fully warmed up. I took the BOV fully apart today and noticed that I have the standard unpainted spring. Apparently there is no way to adjust this BOV without purchasing another spring.

MODS LIST:
- DC sports downpipe
- Burschur catback
- AMS FMIC
- AGP LICP
- TurboTrix UICP
- Tial 50mm BOV
- EvoPowerMods external o2 dump
- Forced Performance 18psi wastgate actuator
- Turbo XS MBC
- Buschur Racing ported stock exhaust manifold
- Aeromotive high flow fuel rail
- Precision 1000cc injectors
- Warlboro high pressure fuel pump
- ACT street disc clutch
- ACT LightWeight flywheel
- ProSport Gauges (Boost, AFR, Oil pressure)

Thanks for your help guys....

Danny

If you have maf and you put to soft of a spring you can get a check engine light! If you have stock cams then keep the unpainted and cut a coil off.

Tial Q, 10 psi spring, perfect spring, 8 psi was way too soft & 11 psi is too stiff...

bottom line is this is not a good blow off valve to run on a MAF... i dont care if you can tune around the problems to make due

its gonna be very hard to keep the valve closed at idle, have good drivability(i.e. no bucking and surging) and have the valve able to open fast enough when you lift off the throttle so it doesnt have any flutter... the only way to get around this would be to go on speed density, then all you really have to worry about is having the right spring in there to not get any flutter

i am on MAF and run a tial. i have tried every spring they make, even shimmed some springs to make some different spring pressures... i have accepted the fact you cant make this bov perfect on MAF

Never had issues with ,ine on stock maf from surging or flutter..I agree about choosing springs it's pain in the butt to find the right one..Im having the same issue choosing between the white or black now..Tial should charge $250 and include all the springs so everyone can pick the right one without spending pointless money on springs.

Thanks, I forgot when I asked about what BOV's you guys recommend that I have the after-market UICP that is flanged for a tial.

Are you sure Tial Q Alpha won't have the same issues as my 50mm Tial did with regard to flutter and surging? Tial BOV's aren't cheap (as we all are aware lol)

Thanks,

Danny

Thanks for your help bro.

The car was my car before Danny purchased it. The car was tuned with the tial and my tuner made the car easy to drives possible. I never had one problem at all with surging, idle, etc it was perfect. So something had to have went wrong.

Hope this helps

Dom

Thanks Dom. I don't have any issues at idle, just what was stated on my first post to this thread.

My new White Spring should be here tomorrow, I'm gonig to install it this weekend and see what happens. If it doesn't work, I'll look into getting a Tial Q Alpha. I'd like to think there's nothing wrong with the 50mm Tial that I have now, especially since other people are reporting similiar issues.
