hks cams?

okay so i bought a 2005 mr. Still has fidanza cam gears and hks 280 cams however at idle i hear no lope. Can these cams be tuned to a smooth idle with no apparent change in engine lope than stock? just curious

Yes. Its all in your timing and the tune. I run 272s with 5 degree retarded timing and they stomp the ground. Alot of people on here for some reason love stock idling with cams I however don't imo.

^ mine sounds stock until warmed up as well after the rpms drops below a thousand or around 1100 is when it starts loping. The car idles around 850 so that's another reason the cams lope so hard. Like I said its in the tune.

Yeah. The car may still idle lope i let it run one day before i bought all of the parts but the radiator was busted so it may not have ever idled down correctly i'm not sure. But the timing cover was gone and it definitely has the fidanza cam gears. ttp said they put those gears and hks280 cams in it. I didn't figure anyone would go through the trouble to take off the cams and leave the gears. but the car is getting the radiator along with the ac condenser put on this weekend so i am pretty certain it will be 100% mechanically by the weekend so i can take it down the road maybe it idles down and lopes after i drive it awhile who knows.

the car was worked on by ttp engineering. They did a walbro pump, hks280 cams, fidanza cam gears, hallman controller, open filter intake, turbo back exhaust, and i think thats all that was done to the car. i know the boost controller is no longer there. as far as i know everything else is still there. I am going to go with a greddy profec2 ebc as soon as i can get the car on the road. They said they did a plug port tune to the car down there but it was a direct ecu tune. It doesnt have a programmer.

The aem ems is an engine management system hence ems. It is a programmer but with so much more.
