ignition/idle problem(PLEASE HELP)
Hey guys, i have a big problem since my evo is my only way of transportation. Recently i changed my spark plugs, everything went as usual. Until my car warmed up and now it wont hold idle, whenever i let off the gas it just dies. Besides that everything seems normal. So i re installed the spark plugs numerous times to make sure everything is connected properly and i even put in new plugs, but none of that helped. Can anyone please shed some light on what the problem may be. Im guessing it might be the coil packs, since my car has close to 90k miles.
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks EvoM

Yeah im positive i put the packs on correctly, i used the NGK BPR7ES and ive been using these for years, also i made sure they are gapped correctly.
What is your mileage? Unbolt the Idle Speed Control Motor (ISC) from the throttle body, and check to see if the teeth are stripped out.

When mine went bad, it just went. One day I went inside the store to get a drink, and when I came back out and started the car, that part had went bad. It happened that quick.

It running fine makes it pretty obvious that the coils aren't mixed up.
Sounds like she's on two-three cylinders. Does it sound like a Subaru if you keep throttle on it? If not check the ISC as stated above.
It is possible that the connector that goes to the coil has a broken/marred wire on it. Look carefully at them. Also, one of the spark plug wires may have gotten disconnected internally when it was removed.
