Machine work help

Hi Evom
When i visited my local machine shop and told him i was ready to get my engine built, I figured out that this wasn't going to be easy due to my lack of experience. So I was hoping that some of you can help me. I'm building my 4g63 evo and would like to know a good compression ratio w/ a 35r and meth @ 33psi. I would say 8:5:1 might be in the ballpark but not sure. I have 30 ob Ross pistons and need the ratio of them. I need help with what size and thickness head gasket to go with when I bore my block 30 over. Is it better to stick with an oem head gasket and messing with the deck height when lowering your compression, or is it better with a thicker h.g. To get the piston further away from the quench area? And should I do anything to the deck heIght?
My basic goal is to keep everything in line and have a compression ratio goal and know exactly what I have to dO to achieve that.

Ok then I basically need pistons that fit the compression ratio that I am shooting for? I need to know a good ratio for my setup

9:1 pistons, OEM head gasket and ARP head studs! When I was GM at SBR, the 9:1 pistons with Manley rods was our hottest selling combo.

Ah thats cool man. I have eagle rods and Ross pistons. But after I find the right compression ratio, I'm getting new pistons and selling the ross's. I dunno maybe JE? If I have a choice should I just leave the 30 ob alone and not bore it out?
