Question Keep rain out of trunk

I plan on taking my wing off, but was wondering will rain/water leak into the trunk when i put it back on? If so how can i prevent it? I know that it has double-sided tape in between the trunk and wing.

you can use something like that......might want to try home depot or something. then you can get some color matched vinyl sitckers to lay over it.

for my pb evo x I use electrical tape for now till I buy a new trunk. I'm honestly more satisfied with a couple pieces of doublesided tape over the holes rather than plugs that stick up and are annoying looking.

I ran black electrical tape on my GG ix when I had the wing off...

However I realized water doesn't leak into the trunk since the holes are located outside the rubber seal so any water that goes into the holes will basically run down the sides and not into the trunk space.

Got lazy and left the holes exposed and had no problems whatsoever.

I agree, some strong tape would definitely hold you over. Thats about the only easy thing to do that at least wont look stupid as hell. Of course, if you dont care about the look of your trunk, I have seen many people just plug the holes with objects, but obviously that is going to look a hell of a lot uglier than some stealthy black tape.

For longevity-sake, I wouldn't suggest this. I suppose living in HI/San Jose it isn't as much a concern, but I wouldn't want gecko eggs being laid up in there neither!

I just took some bolts and rubber washers. Not the cleanest look, but I didn't have mine off for long so it worked fine. Menards (or Home Depot/any home improvement store) will have all the parts necessary.

Probably the cleanest way to make sure its sealed is to put an o-ring around the bolt that would crush when the wing was put back on. That way you don't have to deal with sealer if you decide to take it off again in the future.
