Do I need to change boost settings?

I had my car tuned less than a year ago on my current setup and my stock evo 8 turbo. Recently I switched to a 35r setup, ATP3582R to be exact, and I have not touched my tru-boost settings.

If you are familiar with Tru-Boost, your desired boost is not displayed but a numerical option from 1-99. I was tuned for 24 lbs, but with the new setup I only get up to 10 lbs, even at WOT.

I also changed my diverter from an evo 9, to a synapse. So the question is twofold.
  1. Do I need to turn my number up from the original setting on my tru-boost?
  2. Will a 35r always be limited in spool unless I have more supporting modifications?

Here's a beif list of my performance mods:
AMS 2.0 Build
Kelford 272 Cams
AEM Cam Gears
Synapse DV
JIC Turbo Back
Megan 02
Warlboro 255
K&N Intake
ACT Flywheel & Clutch

Yes, the difference between stock WGA and aftermarket WG spring rates and pills or lack of pills will require adjustment.

There's not too much magic that can be done to make a noticeable difference in spool... you could advance the intake cam a couple degrees.

I know the spring rate setting on the TruBoost affects spiking/settling of boost, but I'm not 100% sure if it has any affect on spool. I believe most people set it at 11.5

Yeah I'm not quite sure. In fact, I was holding off a tune until I got some Injectors so I can just get a tune with e-85. Right now I believe that my wg setting is at 13

I just double checked, it does affect spool a little.

You can change the settings on the go and do a few pulls to see how it runs. Just keep an eye on your boost/wideO2 gauge to make sure you're not doing any harm.

Good luck.

Yeah, it's driving fine as is so I'll just baby it until i save up for injectors and a tune. Figured I would need a tune, but didn't realize that I couldn't even get up to the same boost numbers if I wanted on this setup.
