1st off im running the stock cat/catback with a 3" DP to a cutout just before the cat...
It is pretty loud but I love the sound of the turbo and the little bit of poping I get just a little to loud and I want a smoother sound like a catback would have.

So my question is by adding a resonator to the DP just in front of the cutout quite it down/smooth the sound out enough to give me the exhaust note im looking for?

Since I can get ahold of the resonator that Mitsu using on the stock Evo IX catback i could use that so all it would cost me is time if it is worth it.

**The only reason I wanna stay with the stock cat/catback is so I can pass inspection and police give me no trouble at all when they see I have the "stock" muffler on the car, and we all know our cars get enough attention just cause of the looks
