evo IV with 8 and 9 parts?

Ill be importing a 96 evo IV GSR sometime this summer, and Im starting to make a list of things to do to it. Im just wondering, are all the parts from the 4G63 on the evo 9 and 8 interchangable with the evo IV 4g63?

Some are and some aren't. What is it you want to use from an 8/9?

technically they're the same engine, though for example the 9 have mivec so not all the parts are interchangeable

Turbo, injectors mainly. Maybe eventually start swapping some components in the head.

Also, I was wondering bout the rear diff. EVO IV GSR's dont have an LSD in the back.

Injectors and turbo should swap with no issues. Don't bother with head internals, the heads are different. Just swap the Evo 8 head on and call it a day.
Actually, it would be better to just swap in the entire 8 engine so you don't have crankwalk issues. IV engines are extremely prone to crankwalk like the
DSM 7 bolt engines. As for the diff, if you get an Evo 4 RS, it's LSD. If you get a GSR with AYC, you have to get an Evo 8/9 rear diff and axles as well as an
8 mustache bar and it'll bolt in to the subframe, but you also need to source an E4 RS prop shaft or get a custom one to eliminate the AYC system. Pm me
if you have any questions.

No problem, I'm a good portion of the way into converting a USDM Mirage to an
Evo 4 and awd is my current project, so I'm well studied on the subject currently!

i don´t know too much about AYC system, but it´s a better option eliminate of an evo4??? I have an Evo 4 what I need to do that and how much money aproximately??

one more thing.-.... what about Evo 4 head???

I bought a set of kelford 272 cams. So, I don´t know if I need spring because are biggers and strong thant evo 8 springs...

The AYC system is good, but it's costly to repair if something breaks and it can't handle more than 350hp safely. The diff tends to shatter.
The info to eliminate the system is in one of my former posts. On the heads, it's better to just swap on an Evo 8 head.

I havn't really looked into AYC at all, doesn't seem like something I'd really care about. Is it something like KERS (i think its called that) for R32 Skylines? If so, can I just get rid of it by pulling a fuse?

You can disable it by pulling the fuse; however, you'll then be left with just an open diff in the rear and it will handle very poorly.
If you haven't bought the car yet, you should look for a 4/5/6 RS model rather than the GSR. Honestly, unless you just have to
have the 4, I would just get a 5 or 6 RS to avoid AYC and crankwalking engines. I understand liking the 4 though, it's my favorite
Evo as far as looks goes.

I havn't bought it yet, Im importing it from japan and its very hard to come by a good condition RS in the auctions, and whenever there is a good condition one, they sell for way more than the GSR.

Yep, there's a reason for that though! You need to weigh your options and decide whether it will be cheaper to buy an RS or buy a GSR and convert it.
