Opinion on this evo
avoid greedy BOV's.
I'd be very skeptical about the paperwork situation. Sounds like the title is in limbo. Also inspections are so f'ing easy in NJ, there is probably an underlying reason why he didnt take care of that before moving. Moreover, sounds like he has contacts in jersey that could take the car for him, there is no reason for you to do it.
I wouldnt trust the "friend" to help with shipping either.

stay away man, not worth it, mine has a salvage title as well but thats bcuz my insurance company made it worth keeping again,
and 2 ways to salvage a car............was a "clone" if you will and is in the system as stolen (switching vins)
or the other way, get Tboned and have insurance take care of it and not buy it back.......huge mounts of damage weighing out more then its worth or stolen

What are you talking about? The Evo 8/9's have been legal since early 2009 ish and they cost that much because it costs and arm and a leg to import them over from the US (on top of finding a mint condition non molested one).
