it shouldnt make a thumping noise at all, just the "chatter" clack clack clack sound when you press it in.

I have no idea whats making the thumping noise.
When I push the clutch in while in gear, noise goes away.
When I accelerate or decelerate, noise goes away.
When I put it in neutral and coast, noise goes away.
At idle, I tried everything to reproduce to no avail.

Just got my 2.4 build done with shep tranny, t-case, and exedy twin disc.
I can hear it best in 4th and 5th from 2k to 3k. When im at a constant speed, just cruising I hear a thumping or knocking sound that gets faster based on speed. It sounds like its coming from driver side of engine.

that doesnt sound like a clutch problem, if it gets faster based on speed I would say it has to do with the wheel/axle or suspension

no it was fine, then all the sudden when you would push the clutch down n release it was like make a loud CLICK n feel like something was getting caught on the pedal, then it just stopped going into gear

I got to call exedy. My twin disc is practically brand new with only 2800 miles on it. And this similar happened to me

I am not paying 1800 for a new clutch
