Would you ever buy a older Evo?

Hey guys, I'm just about ready to get my Evo and had one last question. Would/have any of you guys bought some of the first Evos produced for America recently? I read somewhere that they had a second batch of Evo's produced about halfway through the year (2003.5) and was wondering if there are any drawbacks of getting the older cars currently. Is it bad if it has sat in a werehouse for 10-11 months without being turned on?

well its kind of common sense that if u let ur car idle for months it won't run that well, but if u jus change oils and jus run the car a bit, then it should be fine since oil and all other liquids and whatnot in the car should be precipitated...

I mean cars that were made like way back in the beginning of the year. Anyone bought one recently?

I guess what i'm trying to ask is, should I refuse to buy an Evo that has been sitting in a werehouse for more than 6 months?

I wouldn't refuse. Just have the service department check for any belt problems and change ALL fluids out for no cost.

If they argue, and this is a big deal to you, then cancel the deal. There aren't many dealers that will pass up a big ticket sale just to save the dealership 50 bucks in fluids and labor.
