$700 over Invoice...is this good?

Hey guys,

I'm talking to a dealer in the Northern VA area and they're selling Evo's for $700 over invoice. An Apex Silver with no sunroof that I'm looking at will run $28,790 and with the $1000 Mitsu loyalty owner rebate (wife owns an '02 Lancer ES), I'll be out the door for $27,790.

Is this a good deal?

I think the loyalty only applies to every other Mitsu car but the EVO!

Is it a good deal? Yes. Can you get a better deal? Yes. If you feel satisfied w/ the price, then go for it. Otherwise, keep working with the salesperson or go elsewhere.

Someone else (lucyevo) got the $1000 loyalty money so I can't see why you wouldn't. I just paid $28,611 for my BBY with wing and no sunroof so that is not that bad of a deal. I did have a couple of offers lower but by the time shipping/travel was figured in the car I got was pretty much equal.

Well, I walked into Veracom Mitsubishi, test drove one of their Evo's, got to the dealer and they wanted 2K over MSRP. Then MSRP, then I pulled out an offer for $500 over invoice from a dealer across the country. I ended up getting $900 over invoice, but that was only because my offer included a $400 doc fee for the state the other dealer was in oh well, still worth it and although I didn't get the lowest price around, $29760 with sunroof and wing for the Bay Area is pretty good, and I drove away the same day.

Never looked back.

Thanks for the responses. The dealer was Sheehy Mitsubishi in Manassas, VA. They have a Yellow w/ sunroof, Blue w/ sunroof and Silver w/o sunroof on their lot. Stohlman quoted me 28.9K before the loyalty owner rebate. They have about 5-6 Evos on their lot.

The quote I got (27.7K) was before tax, tag and title. I called Mitsubishi to figure out if the loyalty owner rebate applies to Evos and YES it does. $1000 off. If you buy a Diamante, Endeavour or Montero I think the rebate is like $3000.

I'll see if I buy the Evo now or wait. All of this darn snow is making my wife press me into buying her a Land Rover Discovery sooner than later. Either way, I'll be an Evo owner in the next 1-2 months!

27.7k sounds good better deal than I got. Mine was 28.4k . Hope you get one soon before they are all gone then you have to wait a little while till the 04 comes out maybe March or later so I have heard.
Good Luck whichever way you decide
