At the time, the guy was 19 or something and had a bunch of speeding tickets. Given my line of work, I approached him and was able to get him a rate roughly half of that ($610 per month), but he declined because his parents pay for his insurance and they prefer to speak in their native tongue to their insurance agent. I guess to some people it's worth paying an extra $7,000 per year to do that the two or three times you talk to your agent.

alright guys I have a question for you all. Is the insurance under your name alone, not under your parents or anyone else's because I must be getting ripped off. I don't even have a evo yet and I think I pay too much. I'm 20 with a super clean record "knocks on wood" and I have a 96 Saab non turbo paying 316 a month for 6 months and that covers the year also to add thats for the state minimal coverage and the insurance is completely under only my name.

Jersey's rates in general are among the highest in the country, and it doesn't help that there are few companies in comparison who are able to provide insurance there.

thanks for the response man, this is just another reason i hate jersey, if it wasn't for the high insurance rates I would of had a evo alongggggg time ago. oh well.

^ Not in Tampa. Rates in Hillsborough County suck, along with Pinellas, Broward, Miami-Dade and Orange.

Mine is under my name. Parents wouldn't let me have a sports car on their insurance.
