I don't think you will be able to find one...that is not supposed to come apart.

It looks like it is supposed to come off. It uses a velcro like material to hold it on. I thought I would find one ebay with all the people that take their wings off their cars.

I would be interested in finding the part # for this too, but as it stands the only part number I have seen is for the complete wing. Did you buy your EVO like this or did you remove the part yourself as the screws don't look like they are easily removable.

This would help those looking to fix their faded 8 wings as well, if they had the carbon fiber part or parts that came color matched.

The 8 and 9 wings are different. The 8 is full CF and the insides and top cannot be separated though the outsides that are painted can be taken off (they are held on with Velcro and are on very tight).

The 9 wings only have the middle section that is CF though it can be fully disassembled.

The other difference is that the 8 wing has a foam injected molding in it and is completely filled. The 9 center part on the other hand is completely hollow.

To keep a true 8 wing that is fading or peeling you have to look for another 8 wing or have your wing re-clear coated.

So you can't just remove that CF side panel on an 8 wing? I always thought it was the other way around where you could disassemble an 8 wing and not the 9 since the 8 has bolts and the 9 does not. It looks like the OP has an 8 wing here as well.

I didn't know there was differences between the two. The car had the wing taken off and this one put on later so it could be either. I personally like the way evo's look with the wing and I just really hate to have to buy a hole new wing just because of one piece.

Idk which Evo you drive (I'm on my iPhone and cant see that info) but iirc the 8 has rivets that hold that inside cover piece in. Maybe call around to some scrap yards?

The stock 8 wing has rivet like things on the inside panel, the 9 has the bolts.

The only way an 8 has bolts on the inside panel is if the wing was replaced due to fading. There has been a few threads about disassembling the wing before (I am too lazy to search for them at the moment) if you look them up you will see that one is specifically about the 8 wing.

If the OP has a stock 8 wing then it is broken no fixing it. However it does look like bolts on the inside so it might be the replacement 9 wing.

Okay I found the 8 wing deconstruction thread.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...many-pics.html

You can see with the many pics that the 8 wing does not allow for the inside parst to be removed from the center section.

In looking at the pic in the OP it seems there is a metal bracket that is not in the 8 wing sides. I am going to assume the wing in the OP is either a replacement from a 9 or possibly even an after market replica.

Here is the thread for that talks about the differences of the center sections (one being filled the other not).
