Intermediate Steering Shaft

I had to drop my steering rack about a month ago so naturally I had to disconnect the intermediate steering shaft. I'm in the process of getting my car back together and can not for the life of me get the steering shaft to slide back over the rack shaft.

Are their any tricks or tips for doing this? I checked to see if it can only go in one way, have tried anything I can think of but can not get it to slide down far enough.

Any help is appreciated!

Should have marked it, it should have to go only one way and rack and steering wheel center

As far as I can tell it can go on anyway. For alignment purposes it should not have to go only one way.

I did mark it before i removed it, I have tried to place it lined up with my marking, will not slide on however which way I try. Any other ideas?

Got it! I guess since it was out for a few months that the intermediate shaft coupler closed up ever so slightly. Pried it open a little and it slid right on!
