electrical problems

so i have an evo 8, ive had it since feb of this year. the guy who had it before me added a dig boost gauge, analog boost gauge, wideband, and turbo timer. I ve had a few things go out on me. Rear right tail light (replaced the bulb but still out), dash lights, boost gauge light, intercooler sprayer, and my fog lights kinda do what they want. I checked fuses replaced one blown for my light but its still down checked all the wires under my dash witch looks like a nest and ive found random loose ones that i have no idea what they go to. any help would be appreciated.

this definitely sounds like a short to ground issue with loose wires and everything...I would say the best advice would be to get all the wiring re-wired correctly and then see if the problem fixes itself after that especially since you say you have loose wires hanging around not going anywhere...if its a live power or even a switched power output or input and it is grounded when switched it will blow the fuse everytime...if you need a schematic let me know ill post it up

both an analog and a digital boost gauge? thats weird.

I would personally pull everything out, mend everything, and start over.

The white and black wire going into the steering column is a very good power source for accessory power/IGN, and you can find a 12v constant pretty easily from behind the radio, as well as the illumination wire (black/yellow).

disconnect your battery before you do...

good luck
