Good deal or no 500hp evo
Would never buy a modded evo because the only time they get sold is when it has problems that never get's fix and the seller usally want out with all the problems it has..... Just my .02 cent I had a modded evo and let me tell you I want out
Take it on a flat freeway and get it to ~60 to see if it pulls hard either way. You will know if something is wrong with the suspension geometry.
im the one that was lookin at the car!! and it so happens to be the white one kc. with the ported fp red. im not familiar with evo's so i asked s2k2evo about it and he informed me someone had heard about it. so i decided to be part of the forum. is there anything i need to ask? is there something i need to make sure to look at??
MKC tunes and works on my car and I've never had a problem. They dyno and street tune the cars and always watch the AFR's so I'm not sure how the other guy, sorry his buddy, had an issue with running lean. Some people like to "tweek" the tune after they leave the shop. Never recommended.
They are the only shop the really specializes in EVO's around KC but there are 2 Mistu dealerships around and another performance shop that I could recommend to take it to have a 2nd shop look it over.
yeah it happend to me, my car had 9 boost leaks when I bought it...
If the car is way modded try to talk them way down in price. They cant trade in to a dealer if the car is modded so talk em way down then use the savings to fix all the little things that are probibly wrong with the car. Ussually every evo has a bad wheel bearing or two and a ball joint or two that needs to be replaced. Also there is a 60k water pump change and othere little things that should have been done see if they did it. Then just replace all the fluids and drive around with a big ole smile.
Just remember that there are a million evos in the world so dont get all excited over one specific one and buy something your really dont want. Also people always sell cars for reasons and the sellers problem dosnt seem to be he cant afford it anymore because hes spent a ton on mods.
My prefect evo if i could do it all over again would be a evo 9 RS with BR Turboback, intake tune and lower intercooler pipe. A great suspension is ussually more fun than a dyno queen.

A friend of mine recently traded in his 600whp Neon show car w/ lambo door kit, roll cage, racing seats, motor swap, suspension, tv's/xbox, list goes on........ into a dealrship +cash for a stock Viper.
Doesn't matter in this case cause the seller isn't looking to get buy or trade for another car.
