Hi All....Happy Holidays!

I just got my EVO about 3 weeks ago and I had originially promised the wife no mods. However, some things have panned out nicely for me at work and I might be able to sway her away. Now I'm not talking huge mods but I wanted to get your opinions and reccomendations for what has worked well with your EVO's. I had a 2G DSM before this and I have built out the DSM and a GSR teg before. I'm trying to keep the car as stock as possible or easy to put to stock for service and warranty purposes

HKS drop-in filter
Greddy Type S Blow-off valve
Greddy Boost Gauge
Greddy Turbo Timer
APEX-i S-AFC

I feel good that I can get the blessing after promising no mods. I will just have to grease her up with a new purse or something prior to asking.

Your first mod should be the boost guage...That's a no brainer. Then i would probably get the drop in filter. You might want to look into a boost controller as well.

In your situation I would just get a K&N drop in filter and an ECU reflash. That's 250 dollars spent. A boost gauge is nice to have too. forget the blow off valve and apexi.

 

BOV - waste of money.
