Making the jump to SD and have ?'s

I was once planning on using AEM. So I sold my stock ecu.

I have been reading the tephra and ecuflash wiki's and searching on google for a few days now. So now I am trying to figure out how to get rid of the immobilizer on the stock ecu I bought.

Im also searching for the wiring of the IAT and MAP.

This stuff is pretty complicated, which I may be making it that hard because of my over analytical personality haha.

Thanks again for anyones help.

You should talk to Arron at English Racing. They do their SD a little different from others and it seems to work very good. I'm in the process of doing mine. I'm sure you can pm him and get a price for a base map, maybe even get a e mail tune. It just requires a omni 4 bar map sensor.

Im running the aem iat and aem 5 bar. I will shoot him a few questions.

I dont want to run a harness someone else made, even though some of them look nice. I want to see how the stock ecu works on sd and if I like it. If I do then I plan on making a custom harness cause the mitsu one looks like a rats nest.

He just means an additional harness for the sensors to avoid having to splice and wire the sensors yourself. Not a whole new engine wiring harness. I have the spoolinup speed density harness from the link above, haven't gotten around to installing it but it looks great.

ditch the IAT sensor and go off of the fuel temp.... much much easier and no wiring or IAT sensor needed
this is how my car is set-up and i love it. drives perfect and didnt need anything besides an omni 4 bar sensor

Yeah I got what he meant, and that piece is what I meant I dont wanna buy. Anyone have which wires or pinouts to use on this would be helpful.

Where is the fuel temp sensor? How do you tap into it?

you dont need to do anything, you just select it when your setting up the ecu

its not about fixing anything, its just a lot easier to set-up this way instead of messing with putting a IAT in. its also cheaper... either way will work
