So a few days ago I had to fill my gas tank up. Now the day before I filled up I made a few pulls 1 thru 4 no problem after the fill up I noticed in 3rd and 4th at around 6800 rpm a lot of sputtering like I hit my rev limiter kicked in. I took it up one more time in 3rd it happened again so I am thinking maybe bad fuel or not enough fuel. Anyone have any ideas. Thx

 

What was the fuel you used?

 

Is the car still sputtering now that you have added fuel?

Yea I second that sounds like bad gas. where I live in new york there's a gas station that I swear waters down their gas let just say they don't get my business anymore .

Definitly bad gas, I just bought my evo and it had regular unleaded in it from 1+ years ago. I ran a full can of seafoam through it and pretty much just wasted the gas in it. It was sputtering a lot at higher RPM's and after I filled it back up with super it drives with no hesitation or sputtering.
