I say just pay this person off & get them out your hair. I had a similiar incident not to long ago ...no drivetrain related but more of a exhaust leak. These momma/pop stores are are not bad but extremely bad. They would look at car simply based on the size of the car and make a quote. In the future make them sign a sheet with your name included. If they won't simply pay a tow truck $60 and the evo back home.

To everyone saying I should just tell them to stop and tow it to another shop. It is to late for that and I have to pick up the car today as they finished their, "work."

No, it's just some mom and pops place called Town and Country @ 3300 Fulton avenue in Sacramento.

 

Does the car run correctly? If not have someone who knows what they are doing fix the car and take the crappy shop to small claims court for the money they charged you and for the money it cost you to get your repaired properly. Sorry that you got ripped off.
