Question USDM amber corner on headlights? Pics

Hello,

I'm a big fan of the USDM Evo rear lights and head lights.
I would like to know if anyone could please provide me with the part numbers for the amber section on the USDM Evo head lights.

Or if anyone has actually removed the amber plastic section from their headlights and would like to sell them, i'd like to purchase them from you.

Please help.

Headlights/taillights nowadays are sold as complete units - they're sealed from the factory, so you're not gonna find that part for sale separate from Mitsubishi. There's plenty of dude's selling the stock lights on this forum, so you shouldn't have trouble finding some. Most of them you can pick up for a steal too! It's ironic though, that Evo owners in the US are wanting what came on UK/JDM cars, & folks over there want US spec lights.. I'd do a straight trade..

Only thing is that the beam pattern will not be thesame, since the USDM ones are shaped for LHD vehicles, while the JDM ones, I assume also australian market ones, are shaped for RHD vehicles. You may have to get a USDM assembly and swap some parts with your stock headlight.

+1

Yeah it is Ironic, I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I too wanted to get the Evo 8/Evo 9 taillight and change out my Evo 7 taillight. After 2 years, I now want the Evo 7 tails back!

Thank you very much for the help guys.

Haha yeah, the JDM Evo owners want the USDM parts and the USDM Evo owners want the JDM parts.

If only we could hold a massive Evo swap meet somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean...

it is totally ironic how we want the opposite... I personally think that the amber corners on the tails and heads look better than cleared ones. If the USDM headlights did not have the amber reflector on the upper section, I think they would look better. It is either all clear or like the JDM lower amber section. Clear tails on the other hand just don't look right. I think they look a bit ricey because its all clear... I dunno... I guess we all have our own taste but my 2 cents. JDM Amber FTW for me

and to the OP... you are better off buying some USDM ones from someone here. They sell for cheap on some occasions... the issue of course is shipping, that will add to the cost

shouldnt be too hard, isnt the orange bit an insert? you can put that in, fit clear bulbs in the indicator spots and do some wiring mods

I'm pretty sure the amber part is an insert that snaps in, since you can see the tabs if you look closely, though I'll have to double check.

And the beam pattern doesn't matter, since he just wants that amber part and not the entire headlight.

Thanks for the help guys.

If anyone has the USDM amber pieces which will fit the CT9A headlight i'm willing to pay $100USD for the pair of them including postage to Sydney.

you know what man, people over here in the US black out their headlights often, and remove that amber piece. Be on the lookout and check recent threads for ppl posting up about blacking out their lights. I hope you find what you're looking for
