05 Evo Map Senor code HELP

I have an 05 evo with exhaust, downpipe, boost controller and injectors. Stock Boost

I just recently bought this car so bear with me...

The car cutout at higher rpms earlier today and then threw a p0401 code. This states it could be a EGR issue or map sensor issue.

Has anyone had any issues like this before?

Does this just mean I need a new map sensor?

I wouldnt think an EGR issue would cause the problem I am having.

Thanks for any help

it most likely means your egr vacuum line came off...rear behind your intake mani near your throttle body...if it's off make sure you zip tie it when you put it back on

Thanks. That was the problem for the check engine light. Car still run poorly at high rpms on 17 lbs which seems to be a tuning issue. If I turn boost down lower it runs fine. Gonna get it tuned in the next week so hopefully that will help with that issue.

Thanks again
